Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

Space Cruiser

Hey all. Threw this together in a few days. Inspired by my Hypersonic Airliner concept, I did it for a game that a buddy of mine is programming.

Whatcha's think?

Looks very nice

Reminds me for some reason of one of the old Wing Commander games.

Its neat, I just don't like the dark blue color. The background is going to be pretty dark and you want it to show up. Other then that its pretty neat.

If the Vorlon raiders with their plasma energy laser beams are bearing down on you and you don't want them to see you, would you want your ship to be white against the blackness of space? user added image

I like the shape and the engine effect in the back. I have to agree that the blue texture is a little off-putting. And while it make sense to paint ships dark to stay hidden in space, when it comes to a game, not being able to see yourself or your enemies is a no-no. user added image
