Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

I'm assuming the dark patches are texture?
If so why not adjust the colour gain in the file texture?
That helps lighten/normalize what you saw in PS vs what you get in renders.

Also you might try render layers and compositing the image together to get the look you want.

Looks good. Are you planning on doing the oddly huge interior?user added image

yeah the blue looks way too saturated - it needs to be toned down.

might be cool to make some of the interior as well - maybe do an animation with the door open and the camera flying inside to reveal the impossibly large space. user added image

Have I ever watched Dr Who!!!

What a question... as a brit I am deeply offended to have been asked such a question :p

Yes love the new show...

I know the colour isnt quite right yet and I am playing with this in both PS and the material.

I wont be doing the interior as of yet as I dont have too much personal time atm, with work and family.
