Eye Dropper ...

Cannot get the Eye Dropper to select ANYTHING in Maya 2013 on a Mac. Also, just tried the Eye Dropper tip posted on "Maya Station" site and that too does not work. Is this just another unsupported feature on a Mac or is anyone else experiencing this?
