Hologram Effect!

I would like to know if someone can explain or direct me to a tutorial on creating a hologram effects like the one used in Final Fantasy and Minority Report. Billy Bussey even has this style effect in his intro movie. Please advise.

You could go to the alias site, and get the ghost shader tutorial in the community section of the site.
Imagination is more important than knowledge.
