Hi folks...

well, after just reading here for a while i i thougt to post something of my work. Well, i am quite a beginner and maybe a Human head is just to complex for me and my skill level. user added image But as for shure everyone here knows, it needs time to realise that it is better to start with something more simpel. hehe...

Anyway, here is my Alien. (yes, should have been a humand head, but looks more like a alien. *G*). Made out of a Nurbs torus.

Looks good for a first head . What about trying polygons for your next head, some people find them easier than nurbs.

don't be so hard on yourself Auctor, I think you are doing a good job with that head. I also recomend modeling in poly's. I have a question to clod. the cps is a tool that comes with maya or it is some kind of plugin to download and if it is better than the smooth proxy of maya 5.

hi kazama,

thx! user added image But i think i learn more if i start with something new. hehe...

The CPS Tool is a free MEL Script you can download at highend3d.com. (Cut poly shape i think...) And yes, i think it is much better than the smooth proxy of maya. Even the guys from Gnomon recomend it at one of hear Poly DVD´s. I downloaded the script yesterday and it is just COOOL! user added image

But it seems to slow everything a bit down. mhmmm
