Over the last couple of years UV layout in Maya has changed for the better. In this course we're going to be taking a look at some of those changes as we UV map an entire character

Spaceship-Earthling-speedy

Hey Everyone,

After seeing some of the entries Ive decided to enter (after a long time out of the 3D world). A good competition should get me back into it.

All I know so far, is that Im doing a earthling spaceship - possibly areodynamic so its build for speed, but we'll see. I may change my mind.

Concept coming soon. Hopefully before the weekend user added image

Its good to be back.

Good luck everybody.

NOTE: Spaceships don't need to be aerodynamic because there is no air or wind in space. The only reason a spaceship would need to be aerodynamic would be for flying in a planets atmosphere/landing on a planet.

Can't wait to see your stuff!

Yeah i was thinking that after i posted, but it would go from planet to planet therefore entering an atmosphere every now and then. user added image

Hi S2 Speedy, glad to see you joining in!

I'm liking the idea you have for your ship, it'll be nice to see something fast and sleek as there are quite a few planet destroyingly big crafts in the comp already.

I'll look forward to seeing what you come up with, good luck with it!
