Introduction to Maya - Modeling Fundamentals Vol 2
This course will look in the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. It's aimed at people that have some modeling experience in Maya but are having trouble with complex objects.

I'm not sure this belongs in this thread

I want to make an animated Time Turner from the Harry potter series. I'm fairly confident I can model it, i'm just not sure how I would go about getting the sand to fall. If anyone doesn't know, a Time Turner is like an hour glass. Any hints on how I should go about doing it?

I would go with n particles too as they have self collision built in.
