NURBS question??

I have this character. When i move the eyes (NURBS sphere), or scroll through the timeline, or even generally move around my workspace, the spheres, lose their smoothness.

Also meaning (for some reason) temporarily lose the pupils.

This is a pain when im trying to animate the eyes as i cant get a smooth workflow. See the pics

Im sure its something simple.

Thanx in advance for any suggestions
