This course will look at the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. We'll look at what makes a good model in Maya and why objects are modeled in the way they are.
When I first started using maya, the free tutorials on this page were a huge help, I'd suggest checking out some of the free tutorials, Frankie, Dog... they'll be a huge help to you in learning the basics and then some. It's a lot to grasp at first but it's so much easier to grasp than Blender.
