Fluid Dynamics

hi,
Any one has worked with Fluid Effects in Maya 6 esp. Cloulds, I have been working on a project where i need to render clouds for fly thru & it has to be render at 2k resolution + 1500 frames. But each frame is taking 3 hr only with fluid box in viewport on PIV 3Ghz Hyperthread Machine with 2 GB of Ram

How i can reduce the time.

Bit too Crazy about 3D
