need help with light :)

hey all
am new to MaYa i used it acouple of times

i made a glas in MaYa and when am trying ti add light to the picture i just cant see the glas only a little bit of it :/

can anyone help me out and tell me what light is the best to use

what kind of light are you using? Are you making sure the object is within the light's glow? For glass shaders to work, you also need to make sure that you have Raytracing active in your Render Globals.

A screen shot or something might help.

you'll need to show some kind of info in regard to how you're lighting your scene... just in case, you can create lights at Create > Lights > choose light.

hi

i suggest u use spot lights (maybe 3) on the glass...and try adding some more amount of index refraction..:banana:

3 point lighting is always nice user added image
