T-Rex tutorial and how to select the order of CVs in one click without using HULL

anyone know how to select Cv in line by one time, I mean just like when you select Hull, According to T-Rex tutorial, I noticed that when Kurt selected in the order of CVs without using Hull, he just had only one clicked, may be whether there is some shortcut or hotkey. Anyone who know about this tip or I'm wrong. sorry about my bad english. user added image
