Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

I think i have finally decided on what I will create. I will make one of my sneakers. It is sort of falling apart and is dirty so I think it should be a good project. I will post images later when i get a chance to take digital photos of it.

It is a white Nike shoe with a plastic air pocket underneath the heal, which may prove difficult to duplicate in 3D.

I have been looking at other entries, and they are fantastic. Nice job everyone.

Photos

I took some pictures of the shoe/shoes I am planning on doing. I was thinking about a cool toy that I would like to model, but it's at my house and I would have to find it.

starting finally

Hopefully I can actually start modeling on Friday, as I have yet had time to accomplish anything other than homework lately. I don't really wear these shoes anymore, so they will stay dirty and all grimey. I wil need to work on texturing for this project because I still have not actually done UV mapping for any models I have made yet. I think I will get the hang of it because I like to use Photoshop.
