i was just messing around with renders and got this. any suggestions on how to give them more volume.

They need some refraction occuring within them, which semi depends on the density of an object. Theres a glass objects thread around here somewhere thats quite good for it.

As for how to do that in maya... er... well its not quite my thing :o
