underwater

Hi all,
just wondering if someone could shed some light on creating
an underwater type atmosphere. i'm trying to get a realistic underwater feel for a scene i'm doing, i've tried using environmental fog but i cant get the look quite right. what i want to know is how to make scene look darker the further away from the camera view so that you get a better sense of depth.

cheers scraggs.

Use light(s) with a decay rate set to linear, quadratic or cubic. You might need to crank up the intensity as well...

With Maya 4.5 there is a preset underwater scene with great effects and lighting. But I dont think you have 4.5 because I would think you would be asking then.:p
