Does Maya come with a Material Library?

Sorry for the simple question, but I have Maya Complete 7 and I can't find a material library.

I did get one Shader Library from the Extra Disc that has some materials for the folders "Building", "Food", and "Glass".

However, it seems like Maya should come with more than that. Am I missing something?

Thanks!

Well if you open the visor menu there are tons of paint effect options...check there for the food, bushes, trees, glasses, etc.

That's all it comes with, but you can find many more free materials (shaders) on this site download shaders and others like highend3d.com.

although i don't know if it comes with maya 7 or 8, when i purchased maya 6 it came with a Maya Shader Library that you had to install seperatley, So yes there is a Maya shader library, search the net, you may be able to find a copy.
