Introduction to Maya - Modeling Fundamentals Vol 2
This course will look in the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. It's aimed at people that have some modeling experience in Maya but are having trouble with complex objects.

Subdiv and texture reference objects

Hey there!

I have a scene where I modeled everything in polygons and finally converted to subdiv and textured everything, looking great till now... When I started animating and I created texture reference objects for everything, one object in particular stopped rendering the textures correctly, it looked like it lost the UVs, but it's just a matter of deleting the texture reference object and it renders fine again... I tried exporting the original poly object as IGES and re-importing into maya and converting to subdiv again, but it didn't help at all and what's more intriguing is that other objects where I did the same process don't seem to have this problem...

Any ideas?!?

Thanks a lot, buddies!

I'm not sure how to solve your problem, but did you deleting your history after modeling and uv mapping? also can you post renders or screen shots of what the problem is?
