This course will look in the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. It's aimed at people that have some modeling experience in Maya but are having trouble with complex objects.

I've seen this tutorial on the DT web site... very cool!

Your model looks great! He has character.

Very nice!

Hi,

like to look of this a lot, seen this training kit on their site - I believe there's a cartoon-cop car to go along with him?

Be interesting to see a wire frame and hear a little about how he was made.

cheers

Face uv map

Most of the body and decorations where built from basic polygon primitives..The belly and shoe laces and a few other elements where created with nurbs and then converted to polys. IO thought the instructor was very elaborate on the lesson explaining keyboard shortcuts and definitely a good uv texture technique.

I really like this character.

Your modeling looks great, and the UVs look very clean thus far.

Nice work!

it's a good subtle texture so far, but you need to really turn down that specularity... unless you want him to look like he's made out of plastic.

Accept no substitutions.

i was going to say... are the eyes curved in or is that refraction? but now i see they are curved in...

there are a lot of polys in that mesh, is that what the instructor was doing?

sorry that i only have two hard crits...
