Pull up bar

Here's a pull up bar for a scene I'm working on.

Finished in terms of modeling, the shader will be tweaked once it's in the scene.

I like the way it looks
Although I was expecting to see a Bar/Pub with a drive thru window.

The modeling looks great, though i gotta say the renders abit weak... Because the pull up bell is pretty hard to see, and that wall would never just be one prefect colour really, it would have some light shades in some areas, and dark parts depending on the light source in the room etc.

My crits are, add hdr, enable shadows, final gather, and global illumination. And see where you go from there user added image

Hi thanks marlonjohn,

yeah the render is just 2 area lights, a plane wall and no adjustments to the basic render settings (not even any shadows).

I'll include the object with a better scene in a later WIP thread, once I've got a scene built for my character.

cheers,

gubar

Chin-up bar? Looks more like a towel rack! :-) Either way, the modeling is very nice, but the render IS just a bit dark! No big deal, I really like the overall effect!

Towel rack, lol.

Do a google image search for "pull up bar" and this is based on the first image you'll see.

cheers,

gubar
