This course will look at the fundamentals of rendering in Arnold. We'll go through the different light types available, cameras, shaders, Arnold's render settings and finally how to split an image into render passes (AOV's), before we then reassemble it i

September Challenge - Zyk0tiK - Newbie

However much this takes the piss, having concepts where i cant see the whole charachter and there are parts covered by arms and swords and all kindsa crap like that im going to have a shot user added image. Why do concept guys make such stupid concepts? i want to see the whole damned charachter not them in action poses.

I'm going to be doing Concept 4 - Evil Robots, simply because i can see most of it user added image

Do i have to make an environment for it? cos that would suck

Well, keep in mind, your goal isn't to match the drawing. You do not have to make an environment if doing a character.

Isn't the whole point of concept to actually know what you're gonna make the charachter look like?

Concepts are that .. concepts .. at the end, you work FROM them to make the asset.

Not to base yourself entirely on them.

Some studios are more restrictive than others. This challenge is based on my own studio experience. Since I get a lot of freedom, so do you. user added image The main thing you need to do is make sure your result is in the same "style" and overall look and feel as the concept.
