Maya Yeti: how to color instanced geometries as they were fur

Hi everyone, I have a quastion about rendering of Yeti Istances.

I would like to scatter instanced geometries instead of fur, but I would like that, in render, the diffuse color of each instance to be the same as the geometry point on which they are scattered (instead of being determined by their own UV mapped space).

In other words, I would like the instances to receive the same color as if they were fur fibers.

Perhaps it is necessary for instances to inherit some attribute from each fiber (such as for example uv coordinates per each fiber id...)?

It's possible? can anyone tell me how to do it?

Thanks a lot!
