Officially out now - Waiting on my new PC (Oh yes).

I don`t have any computer at the mo that can run maya and photoshop so saying byebye to this one

Sweatiest £3500 I have ever spent.

4.1 Quad core, 8 gig of memory and 4gig of nvidia video (well just under - over 2 cards - Hell yerrr). But I might get some more memory as I hear talk of an offer to take it up to 16gig

My last set up (P4 2.8 (OC to 3 and with Hyperthread) 2gig ddr2 memory and 256 nvidia 6 ) lasted me 8 years with a GC update in 2005 and 2 new hard drives so hopeing that this one surpass that.

Only problem is its comes on the 1st Agu - way to far away for my liking.

and the monitor(s)?
you have to have at least 3 user added image

i hear water cooling f**** itself over after a while... but then i dont know if that came from a reliable source

Already have 2 21` widescreen hd monitors.

I then want a screen you can draw on as I have a disliking for tablets - so that would make 3. Can you now have more than 2 ??? - if so good to know

you've always been able to have more than 2 user added image

windows supports up to 10 monitors, i've seen people with 4 and 6 monitors, and i think i've seen a picture of someone with the whole ten (i don't know what their hardware was though.... user added image)

if you have two graphics cards then you should have 4 video ports so you can plug in 4 monitors

Wacom has a few tablets that you can draw on as a screen, the cintiq and there's an even older one... can't remember what it's called but i saw it advertised on a few webpages

i dont know what other manufacturers do, if they also have tablet-monitors

we do seem to see such things a lot in all these 'the-making-of-~' videos though don't we? user added image

as far as i can tell the wacom cintiqs are only compatible with the pens from the third gen stuff... so if you have an intuos 4 you can't use it on a cintiq (speculation, but no one has been able to tell me otherwise)

What would you do with 3 monitors?? You only have 2 eyes... user added image

I can understand the benefits of a second one (though if I put a second on my tiny desk, it would fall on the floor...)

Tweetytunes, what 4.1 GHz(?) CPU are you getting? I'm building a new computer right now, but I was planning on going i7 (920).

Sounds sweet tweety.

Watercoolings fine, I've been running it on my rig for about 3 years now and its fine (I installed it too) only for the CPU. I'm not a gamer so theres not point for me to have 2 GFX cards (which I still have, go figure!) or water cool them.

Keep thinking of upgrading to an i7 now that I can get a waterblock so I can use the same cooling, you can massivly overclock them, though I get 1.1 gig O/C off a quad core with it being stable and not too hot when rendering massive files. So hoping that I would be able to get a nice O/C with water cooling and a bit of tweeking.

You should have fun with that M/C.

Yeah if you've got the ports you can run the monitors no probs.
