Um, thx for the help. But I dont really understand the notepad method thing. What do you want me to save as .MA and how exactly would I go about doing this? What I needed help in was the mel script. I think that since it was created awhile ago it is outdated and does not work in 6.5. I needed someone with an earlier version to take my knight file (when Im done) and then use the mel script to get the model into the game engine language. And about the nurbs thing, is it an ok method to first model out the shape in nurbs and then convert to polys with the quad selection and then count, I use count so I can manage amout of polys.

Edit: yea, number 300 post, who hoo, and also another question. Is it an ok method to use the reduce for lowering polys? Or does that screw everything up?

Before using any of these, you should ask for persmission from the respective artist or company:

I don't know what keywords you used, but when google try different variations and be willing to scroll through a few pages of images. Some the keywords I used; plate mail, medieval, knights, armor, reference, drawing.

Mchannon, WOW. Thanks so much for all those sites. user added image And to matt, thx so much for that drawing. It is exactly what I was looking for. I was even hoping for the spikes on the shoulders. But for some reason I only get from the waist up. No legs, weird, but if there is a whole image, maybe you could post it again, or e-mail it to me at take0ffyoupantsandjacket@comcast.net (there is a zero at off, not an O) And thank you so much to everyone who is helping. I cant wait to get working on the game.

Hey, thx for replying. Romania huh? Sounds interesting, what for exactly? Oh, and I replied to your post, nice work, where did you come up with the idea. Reminds me of some normal social pyschopath that lives a normal life, just kills people from far away with a rifle, sorda like the DC sniper. LOL, but still, great work.

Edit: I found the word that came to mind, IRONIC. Completely, wouldnt suspect that. But to mhcannon, HOLY CRAP, Awsome sites, unbeilable. I dont know how to thank you. And thanks again to everyone who has helped. Especially Matt and Mhcannon.

Hold on lad!! Before you model any further take a good look at your model. Your armour has something like a 20 sided poly on the upper half. Im bloody shocked that nobody has pointed this out at all!!

I would start with a good old fashioned cube slice it minimally and shape as you go. Think simple here dont get bogged down with technicalities of 'nurbs this' or 'sub d' that.

If you want some help online Im usually around at some point during the evening (uk time) I'll drop by your PM and give you my msn if you want.

Later

_J

Oh, your welcome, but where I come up with the ideas, my mind is very abstract. And twisted. Too many Happy Tree Friends videos user added image.
Cmon, do some more modeling on that knight and show us!!!
