Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

Surface material problem

Hi,

I'm working on a character, and deleting, extruding and appending etc.

I have a problem now that changes I make to the surface material only affect new faces - all the original faces remain the same colour, transparency etc. I've tried assigning new materials but no change - only the new faces are affected.

Anyone know why this is?

thanks,

gubar.

Nah, wasn't the UVs. Think the file was corrupted.

Eventually managed to just export the object and open it in a new scene, all sorted.
thanks,
gubar
