Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world

sub d question

when you are in subd mode, is there any way to make it look like polygon proxy so you see the edges while editing vertices?

its so confusing just seeing 50 points floating around a model

Right-click on sub-d object and choose polygon.

That would do it.
