Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

rendering image plane background

hi, i'm a beginner to maya and I'm trying to render a scene with image plane background. However in the render window the texture or the image of the image plane always come infront and block the objects i modeled. anyone can instruct me to solve this problem? Thanks a lot!

You can tackle this problem on different ways;
but if you want to keep this workflow;
-Create a camera rename this rendercam
- add your imageplane of choice to the camera make sure it's fixed to the camera
-place your objects between imageplane and camera

it didn't work.

from persp view see the relationship of camera, imageplane and objects.

I tested with a simple new scene, it works.
but come to this one, i redo everything still not working....wierd..
and i assume I selected the right option when you say "fixed to the camera"
