how did that happen? I told you i was asleeep, the train pulls inside the ferry as a matter of course on its way to the land of the tall blondes and being a country lad from down under, more specific, a broken hill (and witht a name like 'bill the dill what can you expect) and i woke inside it, it was scary, i felt like i was in the bowls of a whale, Joan of Arc, everyone was upstairs but it took a while for me to find the stair well, it was a laughable nightmare.

I'm from Livingston. Its a New Town 17ish miles outside Edinburgh. That's in Scotland for those of you who failed Geography. God I bet I am the only one.

Everyone in England is a southerner to me

Liverpool FC Supporter and proud of it...

I would add some Scottish Colloquialisms like:

How = Can mean Why from time to time.
Ginger or Skoosh = Juice (Coke, Sprite, Fanta or similar fizzy drink)
Tattie = Potato
Tattie-bogle = Scare Crow
Teuchter = The name a Highlander gives a Low Land Scotsman
Sasinac = The name a Lowlander gives a Highlander
Nippy Sweetie = Someone who is quick tempered
Breeks = Trousers (Pants)

Oh and for the record on Scotsman has ever said:

"Och aye the 'noo"

Translates to "Oh, Yes just now", really makes no scence.

*****THE TRANSLATION OF ABOVE (more or less accurate)****

I'm aware of what you said Grev Mivlos, I was just not sure wether you yourself are from Denmark or if you where refering to the location of the guy caught in the train.

Aye, its a braw moonlit nit to nit, doo yu ken? (thats all i know and my first language is English, that's quite an accent you got happening there)

genki desu ka? chotto chotto Nippon (how are you, I know a little Japanese )

owzitgoin? 'ave a graet even-nen! (hello, have a pleasant evening)

bisa bichara bahasa indonesian tetapi suda lupa bunyuk (forgotten a lot of my Indonesian)

can't speak martian yet, think i went there once or twice??

practiced trying to say 'can i have a hot cup of coffee' in Chinese for a full two weeks but when i first tried it out the shop person laughed at me and my Chinese ended right there and then.

i try to learn 'thank you' in as many languages as possible, but Vietnamese has an impossible accent for me. 'Thank you ' is some thing like 'come on' ???

London and English people seem very nice people and so are European, middle eastern and American and I am married to an Asian, well, everyone is nice (a lovely dream).

Martians?? well I dont know about that, i suspect they are taking over bodies or something? Especailly the ones living in Asia user added image
