So called memory problem

Hi guys,

Im on the last scene of my portfolio,

For some reason i get

Error: An error has occurred. Rendering aborted. //
// Error: An exception has occurred, rendering aborted. //
// Error: Free memory is low. Memory exception thrown //

When trying to render a frame.

Now i know its not the memory since i have 4gb of RAM 300gb HD, 8800 GTS and with a quad core..

The scene is quite bit but i have cleaned everything up reduced the dmap res... everything i could think of.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

If your on a 32 bit system then it can only allocate 1.5gig per process I think, that might be the problem?

If you're using mental ray and raytracing, you can try playing with the Bsp size and depth settings. You'll find them in the MR render globals under Raytracing/Acceleration. Search the docs for the meaning of these.
