Beer glass scene creation
This course contains a little bit of everything with modeling, UVing, texturing and dynamics in Maya, as well as compositing multilayered EXR's in Photoshop.

Wasp Final Composite

I know, you know this animal already, but I've finished it now, also created some small animation, but only to test some things like motion blur aso.

So see this Image as a Final Version of my Wasp.

Some color corrections made in Photoshop, also the DOF is created in Photoshop (without Z-Channel used, just a simple gradient as selection, therefore the DOF is not physically right, but looks good in my opinion).

have fun watching the image

see ya soon

P.S.: This time it's rendered with Renderman, using MayaMan for convertion into RIB. Rendertime is about 3 times faster than Maya-Renderer or Mental Ray...Rendertime is below 1 Minute on a Dual 450 MHz machine..really impressive !!

Renderman man Version 11.01 I guess....wasn't me who rendered it.....the wasp is exclusively modeled with nurbs, I'm more into modeling with nurbs than polygons. The Ground is a simple Nurbs Plane with a wood texture from Zoorender.com plugged into the color and the Bump channel..that's all

Texturing was about 4 hours....even for me, who is working over 12 hours a day with Photoshop...tried to create some complex materials, with a texture in as many channels as possible...shure It can be improved, like everything else, but it was created for a Contest on Simplymaya, and therefore I had a deadline...and after I thought "I had learned enough from that project". I decided to concetrate on something else...without creating an environement... ;O))
