Bending a subdivided mesh causing hard edges.

when edges are close together you will get creases if there is a change in surface direction. You'd need to try to spread the edges out.

After this progress wouldn't it be time waste? Is there a better workflow for modeling this piece?

You should model the shape then define the edges...............dave
