This course contains a little bit of everything with modeling, UVing, texturing and dynamics in Maya, as well as compositing multilayered EXR's in Photoshop.

Dec/Jan-Noob-Dragonhawk

HI crazy modelers/texturers!!!
Well i decided to join tzhat challenge even its really late for it....
I decided to model Master chief......the main character from halo1+2 (i have both ,yeah user added image ).But i have a first problem:

Reference images
I dont find perfect front and side views..only 3/4 or other poses....like this image on the bottom. I would be happy if someone could help me in that....

this is my first attempt on blocking out a character...normally i just start modeling at ...the head or so...(like in my wip "spider" on SM ...)THis time i blocked it out...dont know for what exactly but i heard it shall be the best way....texturing is gonna be really hard ... ugh....i still have reference images problems like mentioned in the first post...

I can see your problems but you also have something many of us dont have...you have an actual game reference u can go to.

If u cant find reference images go into your game or borrow a friends game for your computer and take screenshots.

Look ingame at the geometry of M.C and it will help a great deal with modeling. Just some hints for ya.

Also the visor in the pic you showed of your model is way to big...its a vizor type thing should be thinner IMO. just my 2 cents
