X,Y,Z readout ...

Where in Maya can I get a readout of a specific point in 3D space. Something like a Info window that gives a dynamic value in X,Y,Z position as I drag (or click) my cursor in the scene.

Good question but I don't think it's possible to get an x,y,z coordinate for your cursor. If you're looking at your screen, there is a definite location horizontally and vertically for your cursor but not depth. The cursor could represent infinite locations in depth.

So, if your wanting a 2-point cursor location in a top view, side view, or front view, perhaps it's possible. But if you're wanting a cursor location in perspective view, I would say that's impossible since the cursor could represent infinite locations along any of the 3 axis'.

Don't be satisfied with what you can do but rather strive to do the things you can't do!
