Crystal Ball - side project

Until I figure out how to render a movie, im starting a different project were I can work on many different things. Here is a screenshot! I do not yet know how to model a head, so its just a sphere at the moment.

The fingers all look too close to the same size. I think making the finger lengths more noticeably different, will improve the model.

Don't be satisfied with what you can do but rather strive to do the things you can't do!

you should try doing some diffraction on the ball rather than just making it transparent, as the sphere of glass/crystal should distort the stuff behind it.
