I have never watched the tutorials, sorry to say. I can't say which one is best for you. If your into organic, pic a organic tut ( T-Rex looks like a good one ). If your into objects, pic a object based tut, like a space ship or mech.

Thats all I can reccomend, my appologies.

Update.

Just a small texture and lighting test, nothing special. Final composite will look a bit different.

Just to let you know that there is a bump map on it. You just cant see it too good for the low quality render.

If your reffering to the projectors light source ( The Xenon bulb ) , then it will come out from the front. Your looking at the back right hand side side of the projector if that helps bring it into perspective for you.

Thanks for the comment, glad you like the progress! user added image

Thanks,

I can't get over the size of it!!! My projector is a little toy in comparison. Love the progress so far.

So far I think your model is the most fascinating . . well in my humble opinion.

I have a Panasonic AE100 project . . . . its a little smaller user added image

Cheers
Paul

Thank you for the very kind words BMS. I would have never thought a 1/3 finished model, with a early test render ( crappy at that ) would impress anyone right now. It's not often that people get to see a modern day commercial theater projector.

I would have to guess that your projector is for 16mm?

jsprogg, thanks for the reply glad you like the progress.!

Cheers to the both of you. user added image
