Introduction to Maya - Modeling Fundamentals Vol 2
This course will look in the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. It's aimed at people that have some modeling experience in Maya but are having trouble with complex objects.

Mental Ray isnt were it should be?

Im making a glass shader, and I was attempting to change the raytracing settings. So I whent to Windows/RenderingEditors/RenderSettings, but I cant choose mental ray, Its not even there. Just Maya software, Maya hardware, and maya Vector. How do I get to the mental ray settings?

Try this,
Goto Windows - Settings/Preferences - Plug in Manager.
A dialog box will open. Then scroll down until you see "Mayatomr.mll". Select "Loaded" to load it, and "Autoload" if you want it to load automatically next time you start Maya. Also, if you have Maya Vector rendering, scroll down until you see "VectorRender.mll" and select it as well.
