Hogwarts, just in maya this time.

Those of you who either visist simplymax.com or just clicked the link where my sig should be probably know i started modelling the Hogwarts castle in max some time ago. But like most projects i start it sort of faded away and got forgotten about until recently. So i thought i'd open it back up and do some more, however due to my lack of backing up i no longer have the file and that means if i want to complete it i'll have to start again. So here it goes, only in my favourite bit of software this time.

Hi. Looks promising so far.

Do you have reference pictures?
If you do, could you post the links?

I'm afraid i've just a a DVD in each drive upstairs. I know when the fly-by shots of the castle are on both the chamber and prisoner films so i just scroll through untill i get to the view i want.

I've never forgotten it, just been waiting on updates lol. Looking good. You should at least attempt the inside of The Great Hall.

depending on the dvd player you use on your pc i think most allow you the chance to take screenshots of scenes....just a tip for future models...helps with the image plane creation in stead of having to rely on memory or outside image.

Yeah, i can do that with mine. However i think that by playing a second of the video i can get a better idea of the proportions.

Ok, So I have not seen the movies. (need to fix that) However I do think what you are doing here looks good. I like the detail you are getting in to the bridge area. Keep it up.

Hey dude, I loved the Max project and I'm glad you finally decided to pick up the pieces, and as for being in Maya this time just makes it even better user added image

Great model, I'm particularly impressed by how much you've achieved in so little time!
