Just wondering, how did you render the particles. Because whenever i try to render them it only works using the hardware renderer?

Thanks guys.

Some Guy. I set up the thruster and smoke particles using the S/W cloud type that render with Maya software, or mental ray. There's a bunch of ramps and stuff on the color, transparency, life color etc., but it's pretty simple to use. The ray gun particles were S/W tubes, again with ramps and glow on the color. I wish I could have rendered the movie out at the production settings I used for the still image, but unfortunately it takes about 2 hours to render one frame at those settings, and the movie is over 400 frames. I just didn't have 800 hours to do it :angery:

i cannot seem to find the animation. . .this is really a great piece of work you have displayed. i was very excited and very disappointed once i got to the end of the thread. . .i know i must be missing a link somewhere?
