This course contains a little bit of everything with modeling, UVing, texturing and dynamics in Maya, as well as compositing multilayered EXR's in Photoshop.

Upon random browsing i found apicture of a guinea pig and decided that it might be a bit easier than making a human. Scince they are covered in fur it will mean that i don't need to add half as much detail as with my brother. There is still heaps of time so i am going to give this a try. user added image

I am still gonna finish the model, just not for the competition. I still havent worked out how to make them proply. If i get it done in time and it looks half decent i will use it but for now i am going to work on something else. user added image

It's getting great your guinea pig. It's a pitty, though. I think you shouldn't give up of your previous model, it would be a real challenge, and it would make you grow up in skill. But in my case I think in this challenge more as a opportunity to learn new things than a oppotunity of win something. Anyway, good job!

You should have stuck with the first model for more of a challenge user added image

Back to the new model - the furless ref you have there is great for getting under the fur and modelling the guinea pig form realistically. Good luck

I like your guinea pig head so far. It's looking really good already. I would be curious to see your wire.

Your furless guinea pig photo kind of looks like a lot of my referance photos of hippos....

I also don't think you should give up on your previous model.
