Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

Creating a non-planar surface

I was modeling a sandal by modifying a circle in 3D and when I wanted to create a surface - I got stuck - As I did not start with open curves - I couldn't use birail and I still am not familiar with Maya's patch modeling - is there a waay to patch this curve in a simple command ?

Quick and easy user added image

Draw a curve from the bottom curve to the top curve, choose the bottom curve and shift select the vertical curve you just made, then extrude. Next choose the bottom curve, go to Surface/Planar, then do the same for the top curve. There's lots of ways to do it, that's just the first one that came to mind user added image

Convulsing my frame and cracking my bones
Hell's dragons of steel who roar in their chains
Crawl into my caves to suck out my veins.....
