Introduction to Maya - Modeling Fundamentals Vol 1
This course will look at the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. We'll look at what makes a good model in Maya and why objects are modeled in the way they are.

haha neo i was on the same page as you user added image yeah i think your right ransid...

lmner, check out on the W.I.P page, some people modeling bodys might have posted in wire frame sometimes.

i must add that it wasn't until i had at least 14 beers that i understood what that meant.

ok i lied, i still don't know what lines in body mean.

take a look at the topology thread in the W.I.P. section.
if you can't figure it out from there, go look at other tutorials - at www.learningmaya.com or the like.

my goodness if it's that simple, PRESS 4.

as far as learning how to make a human, again take a look at the topology thread in the WIP section, and also look for 'human body modeling maya tutorial' in google. or something like that. you might get porn... but that's not so bad.

Sounds to me that its shaded wireframe mode....

Choose display > Shaded Wireframe.
