Undo Option Question

Hey guys just a quick question from me,

Is there some sort of Hot key for Undo On/Off? because sometimes when i am working on some models, it just automatically turns off without me even going into preferences ...

Anyone know whats the deal with that?

Thanks

Marlon

I get the same problem, and it annoys the crap out of me. I thought it was just a bug.

Yes, I saved my preferences. It’s just a random thing, you’ll just hit cmd+z, and the SE says something like “The undo queue is turned off”.

hmm..... well like I said I have never had this problem so I don't think it's a Maya bug, I have also checked the hotkey editor and i don't think one exists at all for turning the queue on and off so it might be an install problem or a pc problem.

btw guys do you have your undo on finite or infinite ?
I always have mine on infinite, perhaps when you reach your finite limit it might turn off......just a thought.

Mine is set to finite, and I think it’s set to 60. I don’t think that’s the problem though.

How much RAM do you have? Does it slow down much, when you have it on infinite? user added image

right now I have 4 gigs of RAM but when I first started Maya I had 1.2 Gigs, I can't say that i have ever noticed any slow down when modeling.
rigging and animation used to cause slow down with high poly count scenes but i think thats expected anyway.
