Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

Yup! I'm in! Perhaps I could use a robot to accompany my forlorn, lonely attack droid dude that I designed a while back!

Hmmm has to have a use tho! Is blasting things to bits a use? Heh heh!

Arrrrgh! Just got snowed under a whole heap of freelance stuff. I will post some concepts probably later this evening BUT I am thinking of developing some sort of humanoid master for my baby attack droid.
Here is a piccy of the little kitty - some of you will be familiar with this from a wee while back. Pity I can't enter him. Nevermind.

Hey Dae! Have you won the previous challenge with your alien yet?

Hey thanks for the encouragement/compliments.
I have quite a bit on at the moment so I am going to have to simplify my concept. I have decided that I am probably going to create a wee little robot that pulls chewinggum off the pavement etc. Ha ha! Now that has to be useful!
Concepts to follow!

Umm here is a little concept of the contraption. I am thinking of having it so that a whole heap of arms and legs come out of flaps etc. Hmmm Not sure yet.

very cool design ideas and an excellent concept drawing as well. Really looking forward to seeing those arms implemented.

Hey thanks mhcannon and caligraphics. I am honoured that you guys have commented.
I have sort of looked at the concept and while it looks very modern etc I feel that it might lack a little character. I was thinking of "Mongol" outta the abc warriors and how cool he looked with the big arms and little round body so I might try something a little like him but still with the same wacked out purpose of removing chewing gum from the sidewalk ha ha!

ANNOUNCEMENT!!!
FULL CONGRATZ TO DAE FOR WINNING THE LAST CHALLENGE (and may he be too busy to enter this one heh heh!)

ok! I have pulling my hair out trying to figure out how this little chappy is going to work. Like what comes out of where and how does he move etc. I have also added some more detail underneath bec I felt he looked a little sparse.

I am not 100% happy with the way his red eye surround looks from the side so I might rework that bit once I am making him.

He hovers by using anti gravity technology and there are two roundish looking jet exhausts on his bottom that he uses to propel himself forward.

Little flaps open and his main operating gear pops out or unfolds.

Ok onto modeling!

Ahhh Dae! You have switched to the "other side" my friend. Never the less you remain a formidable opponent and I will be watching your every move from afar!

Hey Blomkaal! (MR CELEBRITY!) thanks for stopping by and some of the girls in my office think your hot thanks to your photo of your drunken sleepyness. Ha ha! Pity they are married tho! Thanks for the ups on the kitty!

Hey Supra Devil!
Your stuff is looking good buddy! Thanks for your comments on the concept - now I gotta make the jolly thing! Long sleepless nights, here I come.

P.S I am currently trying to upgrade - change my website so there should be a new - simpler one up there in a few weeks so that is why it has not been updated... Just in case you wanted to know ... or not.
