Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

Open a Lightwave file in Maya 2011

Hi,

I found a file of a scifi vehicle on line. It was designed using Lightwave and I would like to see if it can be opened up in Maya. Is this possible?

Thanks,

Gary

Well you could use blender to convert it to a obj then import that into Maya, simple and you get to play with blender at the same time.
