I like the idea of the challenge, so I'll be entering and focusing primarily on lighting.

My eggs are huddled around a tealight campfire on a kitchen counter telling omelette stories.

Instead of wooden planks, you could put them on kitchen knives

You could also convey some individual personality by the way you rotate them into the scene. (Eg. One hiding behind the other, one slouching, etc)

They're popsicle sticks

Yeah, I'll see how I can add more personality, just roughly placed them in for the moment. I think they'll be different sizes too.

One of those mini marshmallows being roasted on a chopstick. Getting pretty close to done the modelling. Nobody else enter, cause I want the prize.

Was hoping to go to SIGGRAPH, but it was the annual AMI conference.
(Association for Medical Illustrators)

Now I'm on holidays, so I don't have Maya access, but I'll try to get this done before the deadline.

This looks like its developing nicely. I really like the idea haha

I could imagine you using a nice use of shadows/silhouettes of whisks and other 'scary' kitchen implements lurking in background... I hope you manage to get this completed on time!

Yes, I'm still in this! Update with pipecleaner arms, and camera positioning. Just temp lighting for now. Not sure how I'll do the candle flame yet.
