This course will look in the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. It's aimed at people that have some modeling experience in Maya but are having trouble with complex objects.

Just curious, how much of Minas Tirith are you going to make? Are you going the have the White Tree and all that.

Maybe with the Oliphant we could make a cheeper version of the Lord of Rings?! user added image

I don't know where there are actual building tutorials, but you could check this place out and start from there....
