This course will look at the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. We'll look at what makes a good model in Maya and why objects are modeled in the way they are.

what does that greble plug in do? does it make displacement maps?

the UVs on the first ship probably need adjusting so that the squares are more similar size i think

otherwise the layout looks good




that's a "Ch" pronounced as a "K"

This is what I am going for. I finished the UV's and tonight I will start texturing. The big ship carries many of the small ones on the front side around the main head of the ship. They are the protectors waiting for the signal to battle.

I will check that latter. I have been so busy the last few days. I had to study for my nederlands language exams. I did them this morning. So that is over. But yes. I added some glow to few parts. I have to refind them but just to give me the idea.

Amazing work on those spaceships.

Do you care to explain your workflow? I'm a Max user thinking about upgrading my skilld and learn Maya...
You model with one, uvw with other??? texturesn and stuff?

Thank You dmacb. I checked the website and I love those greeble models. The pluginn is so easy to use and you get nice results from it. You will see My workflow if You start from my first post here. But Like You, I am still learning. Good luck to you and Thank you.
