funnies

was just wondering where people get there laughs! what peoples fav sitcoms/comedians are..

i myself would have to say that the office (the english one!) is by far the funniest thing ever made along with ricky gervais and stephen merchant being my fav comic duo at the moment!

just curious what other people have to say?!?

does anyone remember laughter?????

(I stole that from a famous rock and roll band in the 70s and im still trying to work out what it means)

i havent seen anything on TV i thought had a clever/funny script for a long time.., since monty python!!

seems mostly crime shows, court scenes and reality shows and heaps of bad news.., particularly the weather reports!

Best show on TV at the moment is Boston Legal. Everyone has to like the classic Simpson's episodes and (for any Aussies) Aunty Jack.

that sounds incredible user added image sometimes one lucks out eh!

you know the interesting thing about monty python was it came from the tradition of the Goon Show, which was born from the 'absurdist movement', which, along with da da, came from the absurdity of WW2.., people had stopped believing in anything because of the horror (innocence killed and lost) and that was reflected in the arts (as it always has been down the years, the soul of the people.)

i think he's heard of it... that emoticon makes me think more that he's embarrassed or saddened to see that someone would actually list scrubs as a funny tv show. i think it can be pretty clever sometimes, but it's not THE absolute greatest.

but then again i think eddie izzard is downright hysterical, so it may give you some perspective on my opinion...

thank you for flying church of england, cake or death...

Bill Bailey is 1 of my fav comedians along with Lee Evans and Jimmy Carr (not for the easily offended!). I dont really watch much tv cuz most of it is rubbish! but again the office is great and South Park, Family Guy... all that kinda thing.

haven't seen eddie izzard for a while but he used to make me smile. lewis black is also pretty funny and i can't believe i forgot dave chappelle - i think he might actually kill me.
