This course will look at the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. We'll look at what makes a good model in Maya and why objects are modeled in the way they are.

ahhh yes...I have those...but OBJ isn't in there....is there a way to get it in there?

you could try to go to window/settingsprefs/plugin manager and see iif there is any plugins not loaded.

Ya was just going to say the plugin manager as well make sure it checked on that should do it.

Agreed. If that doesn't work, then I'd have to assume obj import was taken out of the PLE for whatever reason.

I'm thinking the obj import was left out of PLE....that's just great. When I opened the plugin manager it's not in there...so...hmmmm...guess i'll just have to use a free model to learn rigging and animation...thanks for your helpuser added image...greatly appreciated from all of you and mostly 3djoeuser added image

what types can you import to? send me your model and I can import it to maya and send you the maya file. Maya Ple 5 will open Maya 5 files.
