Been whored out to do a Red Cross commercial around these parts. Pro Bono on this end. But at least it is for a good cause. It starts with the heart beating and then dissolves to the logo. Is meant to be played before University of Kentucky basketball games. The wording is different because I need to change the 3d one to "Heart of Kentucky." Cheers guys. I know I haven't posted much as of late...

Hmmm... is that heart finalized? Cause it's not really anatomically accurate. I'd recommend checking out some more reference, and I can help out if you need specific comments.
Sorry, don't mean to sound totally negative, it looks promising, but it doesn't even really have an aorta.
I wasn't exactly going for perfection. And it is not finished considering I spent about 20 minutes on it. I need it done by tomorrow so no rush. If you have a ref I will take it. You know more than I do...
Since it's for a medical organization, you might as well add some accuracy to it.
The heart has four chambers, closely associated, not like the two large bulges you have: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Heart_diagram-en.svg
Each chamber has certain number of entry or exit vessels, these are all important.
Superior and Inferior vena cava into the right atrium, from above and below, they are pretty much parallel and in line with each other.
The left atrium takes blood in from four pulmonary veins.
The right ventricle outputs blood through the pulmonary trunk, which branches soon after exiting the heart into two. The aorta exits the left ventricle and curves over one of the brachial arteries. The aorta gives off three consecutive arteries at the top of its arch.
These main features you should get. The coronary arteries and other vessels running over the surface of the heart are important and easily researched, but they are less visually important, since they don't provide the silhouette.
Finished the animation and it is rendering out. Here is what I have been doing over the past hour. Always fun to speed sculpt random bs.... Like always start with ZSpheres and capture the form!
The second is one of the latest top rows from ZBrushCentral. Gotta give myself a kick in the nuts every so often. Took the guy two months to do. I consider it AMAZING!

Dodo. Another speed sculpt at about 20 minutes. Gonna experiment with micro mesh and morph target difference creation... EDIT: Not gonna go the route of ZBrush to finish. Gonna hop back into C4d and do the feathers and hair out of there. Will have three types of hair. Long feathers. Short Feathers. Curly Feathers. Then Base Hair which is the sphere below. will keep updating tests.
Retopo Update

Update on the Dodo. Coming along. I am trying my best to not get bored and quit this time. I know how to make things look decent but damn if I don't get bored...

Decided to do a mech since I haven't yet... I have also been experimenting with a different skin shader setup. This one uses no SSS. Just wax preview on the SketchShade3. Also was a good find on learning how to do extrusions. Never thought about how you would in ZBrush.
