problem with ramps

Hi,

I connected a ramp to my shader, but I can not find the place2dTextur. Is there something new in Maya 2010?

And how can I switch from V RAMP to U Ramp?

Thanks for help

I'm not using Maya 2010 but I can't imagine it changed that much since 2009.

If you're not in the Hypershade its just a simple matter of popping open the attribute editor for the shader and selecting the ramp tab and telling Maya to show the input for the ramp, which is place2DTexture.

And changing the ramp type:

Hi,

sometimes a simple picture explains everything.

I have just noticed I used a ramp shader and not a ramp texture.

Thanks

Btw, it really has not change much.
